Welcome to my punting blog! There are sites run by escorts, even books and TV series told from an escorts point of view – but the punter, or client side of things is relatively quiet. The clientele of professional ladies gets a rough ride in the press, as do the the ladies themselves, but as recent publicity has shown, the reality is very different. While there is a dark side to the UK sex industry, it is also true to say that a lot of professional escorts are happy, successful women who are fulfilled in their chosen career. But what of the “punters?”

I decided to start this site to break the silence, in a way. The work of escorts is not called “the oldest profession” for nothing – there has been a demand for it since the dawn of time. I am sure that some punters are not very nice, and some are downright despicable – but you get that in all areas of life.

I can only speak for myself – I started punting at the age of 35, I was not very sexually experienced, and despite being clean, healthy and intellgent, I was finding that trawling the dating sites and meeting unsuitable partner after unsuitable partner, was not something I could sustain, and was getting quite fed up with it. When a friend suggested I enlist the services of an escort, in other words “pay for sex”, I was astonished, not least because it was something I had secretly been considering for a while, but had never dredged up the courage to try. Having a friend suggest it, even encourage me, was like getting a green light in my head, so I started to do my research, and finally got around to booking a lady. From that first shaky encounter, I have had my ups and downs. Who knows, one day I may settle down, but my “punting” career has so far led to an increased sense of confidence and self esteem – I am no longer chasing my unobtainable miss right, but have learned to live in the pleasure of the moment.

This blog will tell my story, and serve as a testimony to the fact that the world of escorts, massage parlours and punting in general, is very much more normal and commonplace than anyone would at first think!
